Dialectic: thesis, antithesis and synthesis.

Dialectic
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Dialectic (Brazilian Portuguese) or Dialectics (European Portuguese) (Greek διαλεκτική (τέχνη) at latimdialectĭca or dialectic) is a method of dialogue with a focus on contrast and contradiction of ideas that leads to other ideas and has been a central theme Eastern and Western philosophy since ancient times.

"Gradually, it became the art, dialogue, demonstrate a thesis through an argument can clearly define and distinguish the concepts involved in the discussion." "Aristotle considered Zeno of Elea (ca. 490-430 BC) the founder of dialectic. Others considered Socrates (469-399 BCE)." (Kondo, 1987, p. 7).

One of the best known is dialectical methods developed by the German philosopher Hegel (1770-1831).

Views on the dialectic

The elements of the basic scheme of the dialectical method is the thesis, antithesis and synthesis.

The thesis is a statement or situation initially given. The antithesis is opposed to a thesis. The conflict between thesis and antithesis synthesis emerges, which is a new situation that carries within it elements resulting from this clash. The synthesis then becomes a new thesis, which contrasts with a new antithesis creating a new synthesis, a process infinite chain.

The philosophy describes the reality and therefore reflects the dialectic search, not interpret, but think about reality. Therefore, her three times (thesis, antithesis and synthesis) are not a method, but derive from the same dialectic, the nature of things.

The dialectic is the story of the spirit, of the contradictions of thought that it forwards to go to the denial of the claim. In German means aufheben removal while maintaining the thing removed. The remains repressed or denied within the totality.

This contradiction is not only in thought but in reality, since being and thought are identical. This is the proposition of dialectics as a method from Hegel. Everything is developed by the opposition of contraries: philosophy, art, science and religion are alive because of this dialectic.
So everything is in constant process of becoming.
