What is the price of a human life?

The "Jornal Nacional" Rede Globo de Televisão, (JN), yesterday, 05/01/2012, gave extensive coverage to environmental tragedies, occurring in different regions of Brazil.

Severe drought in southern, state of Santa Catarina and northern Paraná State, with the drought causing the death of animals, and despair of the population for water.

Devastating rains in the states of Minas Gerais, Espirito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, with urban landslides and overflowing rivers, Petrópolis, Friburgo, Teresópolis, Muriaé, and other cities.

In the city of Campos, RJ, a water dam broke, causing flooding, with losses of lives and huge financial losses, unrecoverable for the poor and unprotected.

And the summer rainy season is beginning, many other tragedies happen in other regions of Brazil and the world.

What is the price a life?

Thousands of lives sacrificed in the world, as a result of our indifference and inability to prevent environmental tragedies.

Public authorities are responsible, because due to corruption, diverting public funds, negligence, incompetence, irresponsibility and indifference to the suffering of others, there is no effective preventive measures.

There is an absence of effective and efficient, and deaths could be prevented, continue to occur daily, as a result of indifference and inability to act preventively.

We need to act quickly and efficiently.

Faced with this devastating picture, we decided to present a proposal for action.

Travelling across Brazil, denouncing the areas and situations of risk, requiring publicly appropriate action by public authorities, and more, raising awareness, educating and mobilizing the population to do their part.

Save a human life: one dollar.

Donate a dollar, and begin the execution of our project work in order to save human lives.

In 2012 the world will not end.

In 2012 we will save lives.
