Death of Reason

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
Note: For other uses, see Reason (disambiguation).
Reason is the ability of the human mind that allows to draw conclusions from assumptions or assumptions. It is, among others, a means by which rational beings offer reasons or explanations for cause and effect. The reason is particularly associated with human nature, it is unique and defining the human being.
The reason to identify and operate in abstraction concepts, solve problems, find coherence or contradiction between them and thus discard or form new concepts, in an orderly and generally goal-oriented. Includes reason, learn, understand, weigh and judge, sometimes used as synonymous with intelligence.
As a way of reaching conclusions, it is often contrasted not only with how the non-human animals seem to take decisions, but also with the decision-making based on authority, intuition, naemoção, superstition or faith. The reason is considered by the rationalists the most reliable way of discovering what is true or better. Exactly how the ratio differs from the emotion, faith and tradition is controversial, since the three are considered potentially rational, and, simultaneously, potentialities in conflict with reason.
The main difference between reason and other forms of consciousness is the explanation: the thought is much more rational thought is the more consciously, so that it can be expressed in language.

THE DEATH OF REASON

The attention, importance, priority given to the consequences of climate change and geological happening on Planet Earth, indicate the "Death of Reason."

The indifference to the destruction of forests in the face of rising sea levels, before the extinction of biodiversity and ecosystems in the face of intense and unusual movement of tectonic plates, given the instability and intensifying climate change, due to the pollution of the atmosphere from the human process of industrialization, before the melting of glaciers, on the oxidation of the oceans, given the total absence of effective conservation of natural and essential to the existence of human life in the face of a suicidal process of destroying all that the Nature took millions of years to build, bring the reality of a "Death of Reason."

We live in a time of appreciation of "having," "have" and not "Being."

The man who goes by "has" and not what "is".

The "individualism" has won and defeated the "collective".

Population growth cluttered, disorganized occupation of large urban centers, economic greed, the need for ever increasing financial returns, the most powerful economic interests, corruption in public administration, lack of efficiency in the management of environmental risks the absence of public policies for the basic needs of health, public safety, education, safe housing, urban planning of cities with the basic infrastructure of sanitation, transportation, distribution of food and drinking water, and total absence management risks, are crucial factors, which combined with the natural events of climate change and geological herald mega-catastrophic environmental disaster, unprecedented in modern human history.

Clear indication of "Death of Reason," even before all the recent technological advancement.

Technology available for beings who have lost their reason, with unpredictable consequences, is a high risk process for the future of life on Planet Earth.
