Back to the Future
Predicting the future requires an investigation of the past.
We need to investigate the past climate and geology of the Earth, the Universe, so we can predict the future.
Who wants to predict the future, just investigate the past climate and geology of the Earth.
The problem is that past civilizations have built their present time, with no record of their past, or not come to us, for whatever reasons.
The well-known great civilizations of the past, Egypt, Greeks, Romans, Medes, Persians, Assyrians, Mayas, Aztecs, Incas, Mesopotamia, Babylon, Alexandria, Huns, Mongols, Celts, Japan, China, Carthaginians, Ottomans, China, Viking, all them, without exception, unaware of their past, they knew nothing because all the scientific memory of each one of those people was lost, because we ignore the causes.
Civilizations that dominated sophisticated technologies to the point of using gunpowder, great walls, castles, fortresses, building pyramids, large granite monuments, majestic temples, roads, weapons, medicine, astronomy, advanced agriculture, trade, ships, and many others know that we recognize in Archaeological findings and monuments still exist today.
But we have no record, no memory of the remote past of such civilizations. Nothing about the origin or source of knowledge that dominated.
Without this mastery of the past can not predict the future, and the decline of each of them, was a major cause, the ignorance of the past.
Planet Earth is going through a phase of climatic and geological changes, whose consequences can only be anticipated and prevented through the study of our past climate and geology, although there are sufficient data.
We only know predict the eruption of a large volcano eruptions by studying its past.
We only know anticipate and avoid the consequences of a major earthquake, when studying the movement of geological fissures caused or arising from tectonic movements.
Melting glaciers, oceans oxidation, concentration of gases in the atmosphere, tsunamis, rising sea levels, mass extinctions of species, devastating earthquakes that change the topography plenetária, change the geographic positioning of large oceans and continents, overflowing rivers, concentration of heavy rain, waves of intense cold or heat devastating landslides, all these natural phenomena are cyclical, and repeated each block of millions of years.
The big problem is that we do not have previous records of such occurrences, which neutralizes all our ability to predict or prevent the consequences.
The great cities of the past history of mankind have been built and expanded with none of these factors have been considered.
And modern civilization, continued and expanded the boundaries of geographical areas geological and climatically unsuitable.
Another serious issue is that we do not invest resources in research geology, geophysics, archeology, paleontology, meteorology, astronomy of our planet Earth, because such investments do not provide attractive economic returns. It is more profitable to invest in entertainment, leisure, food, clothing, toys, guns, drugs, etc ...
This is the challenge of our time.
Listed below, show a small portion of a year of research, which could result in interpretation secure about our future climate and geology.
RUI SANTOS DE SOUZA
Brazil, Curitiba, January 25, 2011 - 16h: 21
