A disturbing question: Is there link between floods x geological faults?
I'll sleep tonight deeply concerned about adisturbing question.
We know that strong winds cause huge waveson the beaches, the waves rise in the level of the oceans ...
Occurs the same pressure on the earth's crust,with what consequences in areas of geological faults?
Considering our total ignorance about the linksbetween global warming, climate changes,geological changes, earthquakes, hurricanes, rising ocean temperatures, rising sea levels, changes in Axis-Earth and its climate and geological consequences, I confess that acrucial issue is a cause of deep distress at this moment that I follow closely the news about the progress of Hurricane Irene.
The overwhelming question is: Is there any relationship between geophysical hurricanes (strong winds, huge amounts of waterprecipitated on a geographically limited area)and the tectonic movements in the region ofgeological faults?
The waters rushed in one point, in large quantities, which lead to consequences for fault lines in the region affected?
The very strong winds pushing the Earth's mantle, increasing the friction on the fault lines?
The strong currents of water from the floodcaused by a hurricane, to penetrate the fault zone, and lubricating them, cause what kind ofreaction?
I do not know the answer, I researched andfound nothing, but this question came up and I need to find the answer.
If someone is aware of studies that can answer this question, could post the Twittter.

These credentials work, intensive, in defense of the environment, warning every day about the catastrophic consequences of climate change and geological, in urban environments unprepared, gave rise to the "dream" turned into a project.
"I have a dream" turned into effective Action Project, the great challenge of a lifetime, and I want to communicate and invite you to join my "Dream" the millions of people on Planet Earth, through Twitter, YouTube and Facebook .
I am Brazilian, living in Curitiba, Parana State, Brazil. I have 61 years of age, education level higher, good culture, a lot of information, communication, I like challenges and adventures, good health, physical layout and willingness to learn more.
After much reading and writing about the environment, geology, astronomy, biodiversity, ecosystems, oxidation of the oceans, raising sea levels, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, landslides in urban areas, destruction of forests, soil sealing urban, river pollution, global warming, greenhouse effect, rising sea levels, not only dreamed of writing, but creating an "Effective Action Project."
It is a project to research, document, verify, disclose and report the environmental situation in Brazil, through thorough and documented field research throughout the Brazilian coast, in the Brazilian Amazon, the Pantanal of Mato Grosso, in the Atlantic, reserves in the Brazilian forest, rivers, and urban slopes, in an accelerated process of destruction.
But to do this research, with photos, movies, and everyday items, through Brazil, I need help from people, who believe in my dream, and can assist in achieving this dream, design effective, practical, achievable.
This dream turned into a research project that will result in journalistic material, you will need determination, enthusiasm and participation of people who help fund the project financially in return for exclusive advertising and through the material disclosed.
The Dream, turned into a project, is the following:
My dream is to map and document the entire Brazilian coast, through testimonials, photos, videos, interviews, documents and photos obtained from fishing communities, "map of the tides," the true situation on the Brazilian coast, checking the following:
01. Sea level rise in the entire Brazilian coast ...
02. Level of pollution on the beaches ...
03. Level of water contamination ...
04. Natural coastal protections ...
05. Measuring the level of environmental devastation ...
06. Study and propose preventive measures in each area surveyed ...
Search Field:
- The entire Brazilian coast, from South to far North.
- Main rivers and their tributaries ...
- In the second phase of the project, performing the same work in the Pantanal region.
- In the third phase of the project, the same work in the Brazilian Amazon.
- In the last phase of the project, do the same job in the Reserves and the Brazilian Environmental hazard areas of urban landslides.
The films, photos and articles written, interviews, maps, documents, transmitted daily through the Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, showing the real extent of the environmental situation in each area surveyed, will always be sent directly to our employees, who may make use the material.
The main goal should, with technical criteria, will be to educate the world that "Environment" is a matter of "Global Security", which affects all the dangerously the future of coming generations, and develop an effective warning system, in case of future environmental disasters, and that urgent measures can minimize loss of life and financial loss.

Uma questão inquietante: existe link entre inundações x falhas geológicas?
Vou dormir esta noite profundamente preocupado com uma questão inquietante.
Sabemos que ventos fortes provocam ondas gigantescas sobre as praias, elevação no nível das ondas dos oceanos...
Ocorre a mesma pressão sobre a crosta terrestre, com quais consequências em áreas de falhas geológicas?
Considerando nossa ignorância total sobre os links entre aquecimento global, mudanças climáticas, mudanças geológicas, terremotos, furacões, elevação da temperatura dos oceanos, elevação do nível do mar, mudanças no Eixo-da-Terra e suas consequências climáticas e geológicas, confesso que uma questão crucial é causa de uma profunda angústia, neste momento, que acompanho com atenção as notícias sobre a evolução do furacão Irene.
A questão angustiante é: Existe alguma relação geofísica entre furacões (fortes ventos, enormes quantidades de água precipitadas sobre uma região limitada geograficamente) e as movimentações tectônicas em região de falhas geológicas?
As águas precipitadas num só ponto, em grande quantidade, provocam quais consequências nas falhas geológicas existentes na região afetada?
Os fortíssimos ventos pressionam o manto terrestre, aumentando a fricção nas falhas geológicas?
As fortes correntes de água, provenientes da inundação provocada por um furacão, ao penetrarem nas falhas geológicas, e lubricando-as, ocasiona que tipo de reação?
Não sei a resposta, pesquisei e nada encontrei, mas esta dúvida surgiu e preciso encontrar a resposta.

Os avanços da tecnologia moderna podem ser vistos através de duas faces:

Há duzentos anos atrás vivíamos na idade da pedra, tecnologicamente falando, comparando com o atual estágio de avanço tecnológico
A popularização e a sofisticação do automóvel...
Passamos do "carro-de-boi", do cavalo, do jumento, do navio a vapor, do trem movido a carvão, para o avião..
O cinema mudo, em preto e branco, transformou-se no mundo fantástico das telas em 3D, com fantásticos efeitos especiais...
O rádio de pilha, e os velhos jornais impressos, deram espaço para a TV digital, de plasma, em 3D, tela plana, com inumeráveis recursos tecnológicos,
A TV, cede lugar à Internet popular, cada vez mais veloz e interativa, acessível via satélite, com milhares de possibilidades na área da comunicação digital, instantânea e cósmica...
O telefone de manivela, o telégrafo cederam seus espaços aos modernos aparelhos tabletes, androides, notebook, games...
Máquinas industriais, estéreis e esterilizantes da fecundidade e diversidade das espécies...
Automatização total, em todas as áreas...
Pulamos dos tanques de lavar roupa manualmente à máquina de lavar elétrica, com secadora e centrifugadora, com água quente e fria...
Fechamos as janelas nos dias mais quentes e ligamos o aparelho de ar-condicionado...
Do fogão à lenha para o Fogão a gás...
Aparelhos celulares multifuncionais, filmadoras, geladeiras, ferros de passar roupa, enfim a lista e interminável, das maravilhas tecnológicas dos últimos 200 anos.

Canhões a laser...
Do carro de boi e do lombo do burro de carga para os vôos espaciais, com a chegada do homem à Lua e com satélites artificiais visitando vários corpos celestes, inclusive alguns fora do nosso sistema solar e também a sistematização do uso dos computadores.
Os avanços médicos são incontestáveis, numerosos, prolongando a vida, restabelecendo a saúde, operando milagres, com antibióticos, contraceptivos orais, e o grande progresso alcançado com as novas técnicas de tratamento para várias enfermidades até então irreversíveis, como vários tipos de câncer, o Mal de Parkinson e as doenças do colágeno, clonagem, transplantes, dentre outras.
A Internet, o telefone celular, a banda larga substituindo gradativamente a conexão discada e o DVD substituindo as antigas fitas VHS, além do que os disquetes caíram em desuso e foram sendo substituídos progressivamente pelos CD-ROM e pelos pendrives.
A conclusão do Projeto Genoma, a descoberta do planeta-anão ÉRIS, que é maior do que Plutão, a nave Voyager I, já ultrapassou os limites do nosso sistema solar e, no seu caminho pelo universo, continua mandando os seus sinais para a Terra.
A descoberta do planeta HD 209 458 b, a cerca de 150 anos-luz da Terra e que gira em torno da estrela Gliese 581 e é o primeiro planeta possivelmente habitável fora do nosso sistema solar, visto haver dado sinais de possuir uma atmosfera, água na forma líquida e condições de temperatura e de pressão atmosférica compatíveis com a existência de vida como nós conhecemos.
O Telescópio Espacial Hubble é um satélite astronômico artificial não tripulado que transporta um grande telescópio para a luz visível e infravermelha (Origem: Wikipédia, a enciclopédia livre.)
O Hubble, "O Olho de Deus", as viagens espacias, a Estação Orbital (ISS),e a Internet à cabo e satélite, talvez sejam as maiores maravilhas tecnológicas dos tempos modernos, impossíveis de imaginar, mesmo pelos mais ousados escritores de ficção-científica dos passados.
Sem dúvida alguma, o avanço tecnológico aconteceu num salto fabuloso, nos últimos 200 anos.
Desfrutamos de mais recursos tecnológicos que deveriam ter transformado as nossas vidas mais seguras, confortáveis, estável e cheias de satisfação pessoal.
Mas, ao mesmo tempo que ficamos deslumbrados com esta primeira face da tecnologia moderna, repentinamente, somos confrontados com a segunda face da tecnologia moderna:
Desumanização da humanidade...
Abandono e indiferença com a Mãe Natureza...
Máquinas-vampiras, alimentadas com o sangue humano, escravos-tecnológicos...
Máquinas-vampiras alimentadas com os sonhos de liberdade humana, imortalizados nos "sonho de Ícaro"...
Máquinas-assassinas, que nos fizeram mergulhar num mar de poluentes, respirar um ar envenenado, beber água contaminada, ingerir alimentos transgênicos e artificiais...
Máquinas devastando e substituindo as florestas, oceanos, céu, terra, água e ar...
Máquinas que bebem óleos e gases mortais à todas as espécies não tecnológicas...
Só as máquinas alimentam-se de petróleo e gases venenosas, as demais espécies estão sendo envenenadas e morrendo com o domínio das máquinas assassinas...
Máquinas para fabricar CO2, metano, enxofre, urânio, plutônio, irídio, e outros venenos, industriais e caseiros...
Máquinas populares que escravizam, roubam nosso tempo, iludem, enganam com a morfina eletrônica e digital que produzem...
Máquinas que criam sistemas que vampiram a liberdade humana, com regras, taxas, impostos, burocracias, proibições, horários, salários aviltantes, destruição do meio-ambiente, ecossistemas e biodiversidades...
Máquinas eternas e autossuficientes, de criaturas transformadas em criadoras, devorando quem as criou...

The Sun lies close to the inner rim of the Milky Way Galaxy's Orion Arm, in the Local Fluff or the Gould Belt, at a hypothesized distance of 7.5–8.5 kpc (25,000–28,000 lightyears) from the Galactic Center,[100][101][102][103]contained within the Local Bubble, a space of rarefied hot gas, possibly produced by the supernova remnant,Geminga.[104] The distance between the local arm and the next arm out, the Perseus Arm, is about 6,500 light-years.[105] The Sun, and thus the Solar System, is found in what scientists call the galactic habitable zone.
The Apex of the Sun's Way, or the solar apex, is the direction that the Sun travels through space in the Milky Way, relative to other nearby stars. The general direction of the Sun's galactic motion is towards the star Vega in the constellation of Lyra at an angle of roughly 60 sky degrees to the direction of the Galactic Center.
The Sun's orbit around the Galaxy is expected to be roughly elliptical with the addition of perturbations due to the galactic spiral arms and non-uniform mass distributions. In addition the Sun oscillates up and down relative to the galactic plane approximately 2.7 times per orbit. The orbital speed of the Solar System about the center of the Galaxy is approximately 251 km/s.[108] At this speed, it takes around 1,190 years for the Solar System to travel a distance of 1 light-year, or 7 days to travel 1 AU.[109]

O Sol localiza-se próximo ao limite anterior do Braço de Órion na Nuvem Interestelar Local ou Cinturão de Gould, a uma distância hipotetizada de 7,5 a 8,5 kpc (25 a 28 mil anos-luz) do centro da Via Láctea,[117][118][119][120] dentro da Bolha Local, um espaço de gás quente rarefeito, possivelmente produzido por remanescentes da supernovaGeminga.[121] A distância entre o braço local e o próximo braço, o Braço de Perseus, é de cerca de 6,5 mil anos-luz.[122] O Sol, e portanto, o Sistema Solar, encontra-se nazona habitável da galáxia.
O ápice solar é a direção do Sol em sua órbita na Via Láctea. A direção geral da moção solar aponta para a estrela Vega, próxima à constelação Hércules, a um ângulo de cerca de 60 graus para a direção do centro galáctico.
